Discover Clackmannanshire

Clackmannanshire, lies between the majestic Ochil Hills and the banks of the River Forth and provides the perfect year-round base to explore the stunning countryside, historic attractions, and the arts and leisure amenities on offer across Central Scotland .

Take time to explore the old and new Clackmannanshire, with its rich history, medieval castles and tower houses, to today's growing art scene which includes an impressive collection of public art by international artists including Andy Scott, Rob Mulholland and Michael Visocchi.

If seeking the outdoors, the Ochil Hills are perfect for walking and cycling, and Gartmorn Dam Country Park and Nature Reserve is a sanctuary for wildlife. All six hill and parkland golf courses have some of the most scenic views from the fairways to be found in Scotland .

For leisure, there is Sterling Mills Outlet Shopping Village, a good choice of accredited hotels, B & B's, cottages and campsites, and a variety of places for pub grub, light bites and fine dining.

Less than an hour from Edinburgh and Glasgow, and with Stirling, Falkirk and Dunfermline nearby, Clackmannanshire can be easily reached by train (Alloa Station) or via the excellent road networks across Central Scotland.
