2018 marks the Year of Young People in Scotland. It is an excellent opportunity to celebrate the amazing young personalities, talents and achievers that make up Scotland. It’s all about inspiring our nation through its young people’s ideas, attitudes and ambitions.

This year is focused on a programme of events, activities and ideas that will give young people in Scotland the opportunity to show the world what they’re made of. Year of the Young People is something that everyone can support and be immensely proud of.

That’s why this year, Discover Clackmannanshire has on lots of things for young people to get immersed in.

Young people can enjoy Footgolf at Muckhart Golf club. Footgolf is a new initiative at the club, giving individuals, small groups, families, local schools and youth groups, an opportunity to play a different outdoor sport, have fun and enjoy physical exercise.

There’s also the Firpark Ski Centre. The Ski Centre in Tillicoultry offers a whole range of snow sport activities throughout the year on its 120m dry ski slope. Offering skiing, snowboarding and blading for people of all levels of experience, with expert tuition given by our experienced instructors. Making it a great activity for children and teenagers to get involved in.

However for kids that are a bit younger, there is always the Kidz World Soft Play. Children can explore the world themed play frame where they can see the North Pole, The Beach and The Jungle! With a 4 laned astra slide, tube slide, astra glide, rope nets, punch bags and much more, children will be entertained for hours! There is even a separate play area for babies and toddlers, making it perfect for children of all ages.
