Alloa

The route heads north from Route 76 at North Castle Street, in the centre of Alloa, near the council offices in Lime Tree House.  It follows a narrow, traffic-free lane through the town for under half a mile, until it crosses the dual carriageway (A907) just west of the roundabout near Alloa Railway station and the ASDA supermarket. Follow the signs for Route 767 north east over the railway foot bridge. The route follows the railway path and some sections of cycle path through countryside, with views of the dramatic Ochil Hills. After 3 ¼  miles you arrive at the southern outskirts of Tillicoultry (Visitor Information Centre), one of the six Hillfoots settlements which are strung along the southern edge of the Ochil Hills. There are plans to extend Route 768 from Alva to Tillicoultry. After a further 3 ¼  miles, the Devon Way ends near playing fields to the south of Dollar. Regarded as the most attractive of the Hillfoots villages, Dollar was originally built to service the residents of Castle Campbell, the ruins of which are about a mile north of the village up Dollar Glen. The village also has shops and cafes, a museum, the grand Dollar Academy and a nearby campsite.
