Alloa Makers Village

Makers' Village, is situated in Ludgate, Alloa, and is a new collection of artists and makers' workshops, where visitors can view and purchase a range of original works in ceramics and glass. The number of artists and makers in residence continues to grow, below are those who are currently open and exhibiting their work. Please check with individual businesses for opening times.

Elin Isaksson Hot Glass Studio

Elin specialises in creating contemporary, unique architectural and decorative glass designs. Elin studied in Sweden, and came to the Edinburgh College of Art (ECA) in 2001 following a year spent assisting 3 glass blowers in Gothenburg. She completed both her BA (Hons) and her Masters in Glass & Architectural Glass Design at ECA. During her professional career as a glass artist, she has worked with Lindean Mills Glass, Galashields, Scotland, and her unique work has been commissioned amongst others, by Saga Cruise Lines and NHS Scotland.

Studio & Gallery is open Fridays 12-5pm, other days open by appointment.

The New Fangled Glass Company

The Newfangled Glass Company specialises in architectural stained glass, kiln formed glass tiles and splashbacks and glass applique. Every piece is an original art work designed and manufactured by Jill Conlan. Jill combines traditional techniques with modern edgy design.

Reachout with Arts in Mind

Reachout exhibits and sells a range of work by the participating professional artists and members, which are created in a number of mediums, including, textiles, sculpture, paint and mixed media photography. Currently under development is the 'Makers Gallery and Bistro' which will be opening soon providing further opportunities for exhibitions and events.
