Enter Clackmannanshire and be greeted by one of the iconic sculptures situated around the county. Commissioned from Scottish artists, Andy Scott , Michael Vissochi , and Rob Mulholland , these distinctive pieces reflect what has shaped Clackmannanshire: the river, the woods, the Ochil Hills, its industrial past and vibrant future.
Gordon McFarlane FBHI, Watchmaker, Jeweller and Art Gallery, holds regular exhibitions within the gallery space located in Alloa town centre. If you are feeling creative, you can sign up for glass work courses at The Willow Glass Studios and learn how to produce beautiful fused glass jewellery, objects and stained glass.
The Alloa Makers' Village, situated in Ludgate, Alloa, is a collection of workshops and exhibition space, celebrating a wide selection of artists and makers including Elin Isaksson Glass, New Fangled Glass and Reach Out.
Resonate is the newest gallery and workshop to open, and is home to resident artists Angela Beardsley, Jon Piccolo and Wood Carver Richard Douglas, their regular exhibitions include work in a variety of mediums including wood, glass, photography and sculpture. The Forth Valley Open Studios event takes place annually, and is an opportunity for Forth Valley artists to invite you to their private studios and galleries to celebrate the wealth of creative talent in the area. The next Open Studio Event is being held 9th until 17th June 2012.
